Q&A with Brad Nix and the RETech South Event

Every month, our team meets with a group of “elite” Atlanta real estate bloggers. One of the group’s members, Brad Nix of Maxsell Real Estate has organized RETech South, an event that every agent should attend!
I asked Brad a few questions in hopes that his answers would help explain the event better, the Q&A session is below:
What type of agent should attend RETech South?
REtech South is for any and all agents who want to learn more about how new technologies are changing the playing field in real estate. There will be high-level information and ideas for those agents who want to take the next step, yet plenty of dicusssions about the basic concepts used for the agents who want to take the first step.
What topics/concepts will be covered?
Blogging, video, social networking, widgets, listing syndication, and search engine optimization. Plus, I am sure more topics will arise when we get all these bright minds in one room.
Will this conference cover Web 2.0 teachings?
RETech South will cover web 2.0 as it relates to real estate - Real Estate 2.0
How do you define Real Estate 2.0?
Real Estate 2.0 is about finding new ways to engage in a conversation with consumers using internet technologies. I would also say that Real Estate 2.0 has an innate desire to share everything with everyone. It’s sort of a community spirit to work together for the betterment of everyone.
So…just how important is Real Estate 2.0 in today’s business?
There are new markets out there and new ways to reach old markets. If you’re not at least trying to learn what these opportunities are about, then you must not be interested in doing more business or improving your existing skills. Knowledge is power, especially in the real estate industry.
